“This is our last day together with my Physical Therapy. I want to thank you for teaching me how to walk again, to keep my balance again, to swing a golf club again (without falling down). With your efforts, I can go home, live by myself, and take care of myself. I remember the first day we met when you came to my room; you told me who you were and that we were going to do Physical Therapy. You asked me to lift my legs; I couldn’t. You asked me to move my feet; I couldn’t. You asked me to move my toes; I could do this. You said, “you are going to walk again.” I started flat on my back, and couldn’t get out of bed without two people helping me because I had Spinal Stenosis with severe Scoliosis. We started off with me in the bed. Then, in about two weeks I was in a wheelchair. From the wheelchair, I went to a walker. From the walker, I went to a cane. And now I am walking on my own. You were very patient with me, yet you were very determined. I want to thank you for giving my life back to me. I had given up until you came into my life. P.S. I will be playing golf again at age 86.”
