Introducing Our New Program: At-Home MVA Rehabilitation
A car accident is bad enough. But a car accident that causes major injuries–like whiplash or a sprained back–is even worse! MVA-related injuries can have a lasting impact, especially if they go unaddressed.
That’s why the team at Sobe Rehab is excited to announce our new at-home MVA rehabilitation program. This program brings our comprehensive rehab services to the patient’s front door, so they don’t have to worry about the hassle of getting to a clinic. Even better, this program is covered under PIP (personal injury protection) insurance, so most patients won’t have to pay out of pocket.
Today, we want to explore this program in more detail, looking at how it can benefit both patients and the attorneys helping them build a strong, supported case.

First Things First: The Basics of the Program
This new program focuses specifically on the types of injuries that can develop after a car accident, including the following:
- Whiplash and neck strain
- Herniated discs, back sprains, and other MVA-associate back pain
- Shoulder, hip, or knee pain
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Post-surgical rehab for any surgeries required after an injury
- MVA-related neurological impairments, including struggles with balance, movement, or dizziness and vertigo
Treatment for these concerns is covered under PIP insurance (also known as no-fault insurance). However, under Florida law, you must seek treatment within 14 days of your car accident to qualify. For physical therapy services, you’ll also need a doctor’s referral to get started.
Once you’ve done that, however, our in-home MVA services make the process much easier. Our team travels across Florida to provide physical, occupational, and speech therapy right in your home. There, we’ll evaluate your injury and build a plan to improve strength, mobility, and independence.
Because we come to your home, you don’t have to worry about arranging transportation or dealing with limited mobility, making it easier for you to meet with us within that two-week window. Long-term, this model means fewer missed visits and better treatment outcomes.
What In-Home Services Can We Provide?
At Sobe Rehab, we take a multidisciplinary approach that targets physical and functional recovery. Depending on patient needs, we can provide the following therapies:
Physical Therapy
- Improves strength, range of motion, and overall movement
- Addresses spinal pain, joint stiffness, and soft tissue injuries
- Treatment might include manual therapy techniques, personalized therapeutic exercise plans, and functional training to improve balance and gait
Occupational Therapy
- Helps patients perform ADLs (activities of daily living), such as cooking, bathing, and driving, as well as any other work or recreational activities
- Improves upper body coordination and hand function
- Teaches energy-saving techniques to avoid pain and fatigue
Speech Therapy
- Assists with communication, memory, and swallowing problems after traumatic brain injuries (TBIs)
- Helps build safety and independence for patients with cognitive difficulties after their injury
Why This Program Works for Patients and Their Lawyers
We design our in-home MVA services with both recovery and results in mind. After an accident, consistent and convenient care matters, and bringing rehabilitation to a patient’s home helps them stay on track.
However, we also understand that navigating insurance after a motor vehicle accident can be tricky, and patients need a good attorney in their corner. To help those attorneys succeed, our team offers full legal and administrative support to meet case deadlines and strengthen documentation.
Some Key Benefits of our In-Home MVA Rehab Program
- Same-day intake confirmation
- Next-day appointments are available across Florida
- Licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists on staff
- Detailed reports that support legal claims
- Direct billing to auto insurance under Florida PIP
- We accept Letters of Protection (LOPs) and can negotiate reductions
- DWC-25 and attorney-requested documentation provided promptly
Better Patient Adherence = Stronger Case Outcomes
When patients skip clinic visits, they delay recovery and weaken their documentation. Our at-home rehab services reduce missed appointments and improve treatment consistency, key factors in both medical recovery and legal success.
In short, our in-home MVA rehab program enhances patient recovery while providing attorneys with the documentation to prepare strong, effective claims.

What Are PIP Benefits — And Who Qualifies?
Personal Injury Protection (PIP) is a type of no-fault auto insurance that covers medical expenses, lost wages, and other costs associated with injuries after a car accident—regardless of who was at fault. In Florida, PIP is mandatory and provides up to $10,000 in benefits to help you get the care you need quickly.
You may qualify for PIP benefits if:
- You were injured in a car accident (as a driver, passenger, or pedestrian).
- You receive medical treatment within 14 days of the incident.
- You have PIP coverage through your auto insurance policy.
Using your PIP benefits, you can receive physical, occupational, or speech therapy at home—without needing a referral or long delays. It’s designed to help you start healing sooner and avoid long-term complications.

Why In-Home Therapy Helps You—and Your Attorney
At-home rehabilitation isn’t just convenient—it’s strategic. For patients recovering from motor vehicle accidents, having a licensed therapist come to you means:
- Faster recovery timelines with consistent care
- Thorough documentation of injuries and progress
- Reduced transportation stress, especially for patients in pain or without access to a vehicle
For law firms, in-home therapy offers the benefit of:
- Strong medical documentation to support claims
- Reliable therapist reporting to back up injury severity and treatment necessity
- Improved client outcomes, which reflect positively on case handling
Whether you’re a patient or an attorney supporting a client, our new At-Home MVA Rehabilitation Program provides an effective, fully mobile care solution tailored to your goals.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to deliver a stronger future for seniors in assisted living facilities. The Sobe Rehab 10-step proactive, comprehensive, PT/OT/ST therapy model restores senior independence and quality of life. In ALFs, this translates into improved length of stay and retention, on average 4 years for our patients. This enhances their freedom and happiness while increasing the ALF census exponentially. As the saying goes, “It’s not the days in your life, but the life in your days.”
